Tuesday night was my last shift at St. Mary Mercy Emergency Center. After nearly 13 years of working as a technician in the EC I finally called it quits. This was an emotional time! I have worked side by side with many of these people for years, saving lives and making people feel better. I have always been proud of where I worked and the people that I have been honored to work with. I just hope that I will be as blessed with the new job that I am headed into. The new job starts Monday, March 20th. This is a total departure for me from what I have been doing at St. Mary Mercy. I will be working with a computer program called FirstNet, designed to track patients through their emergency visit and help the care staff keep better track of the care that is rendered and help the hospital gain better capture of charges.
